Vibrato is a musical effect, produced in singing and on musical instruments by a regular pulsating change of pitch, and is used to add expression and vocal-like qualities to instrumental music.
A good singing teacher can help you develop a vibrato into your voice if you do not have one during singing lessons. There are numerous vocal exercises that you can do to help. One of them, is to sing a long held note and with one hand gently pulsate the abdomen. This causes the airfolow to be interupted there producing the 'wobble' that is vibrato.
Use your vibrato tastefully. Some classical singing teachers, during their singing lessons promote the use of vibrato to such an extent that the student can end up with more of a tremolo rather than a vibrato. To most people's ears, a voice sounds better with a mild vibrato that occurs at the end of the note.
